Each map is a new and original creation

As a professional cartographer and illustrator with nearly 25 years of experience, I have worked successfully with hundreds of clients (see my client list). My work methods have been refined over the years for efficiency and accuracy. The first step is a thorough consultation with you to discuss optimal end results and possible solutions to achieve your goals. Then I recommend the type of map or illustration that will best meet those goals. Close communication is maintained throughout all phases of the project. I create an original rendering of the map (or illustration) as discussed, including typography and supportive graphics that will best tell the desired story, and that will meet your deadline.

If certain projects require an online presence, I can coordinate my work with a group of professionals who offer web development skills such as online map portals, web design, and more.

I use a professional suite of design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Traditional map sources, GIS layers and GPS data can be incorporated for accurate representation. For illustrative illustrations, I often use traditional artists' materials, such as watercolors, temperas, pencil, ink, and printmaking. Each map can be delivered as original art or in any file format you prefer - PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, PSD, AI, and more.
